Checklist for the 10-Day Daniel's Diet
*PLEASE NOTE: Many suggestions are provided in several documents on the website. The Diet should, however, be custom-made to what fits you best, incorporating at least the concepts of the Four Food groups but allowing creative freedom for whatever else is most fitting for you, whether provided in the recipes here or not.*
Sunday, December 27, 2009 to Thursday, December 31, 2009
- Make a 10-Day Daniel's Diet Menu Plan. See the program Materials for suggestions (Documents titled: "The 4 NEw Food Groups," "Recipes," and "MoreInfoandRecipes."
-Start to stock up on Daniel's Diet products. Clear out food that will tempt you to be unfaithful to your Daniel's Diet.
-It is nice to have a buddy to do the program with: your friends, family, or church members. Try at least to get a prayer partner.
Friday, January 1, 2010 (for the 1st group)
-Be on the prayer conference call from 9-10 pm ET (Phone number: 605-475-6900, code 100516#)
Saturday, January 2, 2010
-Pray and prepare spiritually to follow the Diet. (Ask your pastor or elder of the church to give a special prayer for the diet at Divine service.)
Sunday January 3, 2010: Diet Starts
-Churches that are doing the program should meet together to do the "Know Your Numbers Program" if possible. Each church should then do its first Daniel's Diet meal - a lunch or a brunch.
-All participants should write down your health conditions and the way that you feel before starting the Diet. Take pictures of yourself. (Feel free to start a journal, if you'd like, of your 10-day experience.)
General Diet Instructions: As you do the Diet, have a prayer partner and daily read through the prayers of Daniel's from the booklet that was provided. Make sure to meet as many times as possible or to at least call each other to support each other during the diet. Sabbath lunch on the 9th or a little talk after prayer meeting on the 6th are examples of excellent opportunities to do this. Participate in 30 minutes of moderately intense walking 5 to 7 days a week. You can get a walking buddy.
Tuesday, January 5, 2010
-Be on the reporting and encouragement Conference Call at 8-9pm (Phone number: 605-475-6900, code 100516#).
Wednesday, January 6- Saturday, January 9, 2010
-Each participating group should meet and share within the group halfway through the Diet, which is sometime during the above dates. If this cannot be done in person, you can meet by phone or otherwise.
Wednesday, January 13, 2010: Day after Diet Ends
-After 10 days, write down your health condition; compare it with the before list. Take a new photograph and compare it with the old. Note the changes.
-Send your comments and testimonials into us: Ldaley@northeastern.org
Maintaining the Benefits Gained During the 10 Days
-To keep your experience fresh and alive, listen in to the regular health conference calls that will be held throughout the quarter.
-Churches are encouraged to hold weekly health presentations, perhaps some time on Sabbath. Diet participants are encouraged to lend their support, talents, or presentation skills to this effort.
-Each church should sponsor a Focus on Prophecy: Daniel Seminar in March. For information about the seminar, call Voice of Prophecy @ 877-955-2525 or visit www.VOP.com. More information will be provided at a later date.
God bless you! I wish you a happy, healthy New You.
